Spectator Information

This is how the race day looks for spectators . Here is a map of the GGP course and facilities Course Map


8am – The karts start arriving and people are building the course. Karts will continue to arrive during the morning. All will be at the start area by midday.

9am – Our café at the start opens and we sell teas coffees, bacon rolls etc. For the harden people you can get a beer or cocktail. Around this time the stalls on the main green start to arrive.

This is pretty much what is happening up to midday. Spectators are free to walk around and mingle with the karts and walk the course

We have car parking but it does get full up quite early (say by 11 am) Currently we have free car parks at Cookham Dean Primary School /Copas Farm and Next to Cookham Dean Cricket Club. The biggest car parking areas are Copas Farm at the top of the course There are road signs directing you as you come in to Cookham Dean . It is first come first serve basis.However, we will always find space for registered disabled and ask them to register with us 48 hours before. the race.

At midday we close the roads we race on so we can complete the rest of the course. By then the stalls on the Green and along the course will all be open serving food, drinks and children’s entertainment . The 2 pubs on the course are open and serving from about 10am .

Spectators can walk up and down the whole course and pick their spots to watch the racing. You are able to move up and down the course using the walkways during the day.

At 1.30 the race will start and will continue until around 4.00pm, followed by the prize giving on the Green. If he is available on the day this will be done by Ross Kemp.

Karts that have completed a run are free to mingle around at the finish area on Hardings Green next to Uncle Toms Pub.

Then the big clear up starts. Uncle Toms Cabin always have a live band playing in the garden as soon as racing finishes and in to the evening. This is free to enter and is traditionally a bit of a party.
